As one of the nation's largest private companies, Mortenson Construction is an international builder that operates under the mantra of "Building structures and facilities for the advancement of modern society.®" Pocket Hercules was tapped to help create brand awareness for Mortenson Construction's division. As the United States' largest wind contractor, Mortenson wanted a campaign that stood out from the endless stream of ads featuring beauty shots of wind turbines. What resulted was the "Get your wind face on®" campaign, and it definitely got the industry talking.
As a major player in wind farm construction in North America, Mortenson Construction needed a print campaign that would reflect their expertise. This trade campaign portrayed Mortenson as an industry leader by using actual team members with the line, "Nobody knows wind like we do®". The campaign was such a success, it was named 2010 Campaign of the Year by the Construction Writers Association.
Drawing on the success of the ad campaign, the Mortenson Construction tradeshow booth invited visitors to "Get Your Wind Face On". Participants were styled to appear windblown and photographed with the help of "Wind Stylists". These photographs were quickly made into buttons, which they could proudly display for the rest of the AWEA and CANWEA trade shows.
Pocket Hercules designed and wrote a prestige brochure for potential customers to showcase Mortenson Construction's breadth of experience, expertise, and exceptional people in the renewable energy industry.
