Minneapolis Advertising Agency, Minneapolis PR Firm: Pocket Hercules

Sustainability

These days, more people are choosing to do business with companies that take an active role in doing what's best for the environment. Through our work with Mortenson Renewable Energy Group and PureTemp, we've helped them assume a leadership role in sustainability within their industries, and in turn, have become active in effective environmental advertising. In fact, we leveraged our experience in sustainability and green marketing to create Tiny Footprint, the world's first carbon negative coffee company. Because it's not just about being able to talk the talk. It's about doing real things that will have a tangible, positive effect on the environment.

Sustainability Brand: Tiny Footprint Coffee

Tiny Footprint Coffee

Pocket Hercules leveraged our experience in sustainability and green marketing to create Tiny Footprint, the world's first carbon negative coffee company. For every pound of coffee that's sold, a portion of the proceeds is put toward reforestation of the Mindo Cloud Forest in Ecuador. We built and launched Tiny Footprint from scratch, and have quickly turned it into a brand that is helping to reclaim land once used for agriculture and returning it, bit by bit, to its lush, original splendor. While also helping to protect thousands of species of birds, create local jobs and improve the quality of the water table along the way. Oh, and the 100% organic, shade-grown coffee is pretty darn tasty, too.

Sustainability Advertising and Green Marketing: Pure Temp

Puretemp

PureTemp came to us with a promising new green technology with a virtually endless number of applications. Known as Phase Change Materials, these things can be embedded into everything from coffee cups to water heaters to dramatically improve energy efficiency. Our job was to explain this complex technology in terms anyone could understand, while making it clear that this is not an end-use product but one with which you can do anything you want. So we created a video and website that tells the PureTemp tech story in a way that's smart, engaging and effective, and asks the question, "What will you do with it?"

Puretemp Video Sustainability Advertising and Green Marketing: Mortensen Construction

Mortenson Construction

As a major player in wind farm construction in North America, Mortenson Construction needed a trade campaign that would reflect their expertise. This campaign portrayed Mortenson as an industry leader by using wind-blown portraits of actual team members with the line, "Nobody knows wind like we do®". The campaign included outdoor executions as well as a tradeshow booth where visitors were invited to "Get their wind face on", which resulted in more than 1,500 individuals having their wind-blown portraits taken over the weekend. The integrated campaign was such a success, it was named 2010 Campaign of the Year by the Construction Writers Association.
